After his last Combat Zone Championship defense, RVD suffered an injury during the match then took a severe beating from Ares and The Mims afterwards. The injury plus the beating has forced the COH Board Of Directors to declare the Combat Zone Championship vacant. A match to determine a new champion will be held at Hardcore Mania. As for RVD, he will be off of COH events till lafter August.
