COH Hall Of Fame Ceremony- 2009 "HWL 50th Anniversary"
(COH General Manager Mike Johnson was at the podium)
MJ: Good evening ladies and gentlemen. In just a few short hours HWL will be having its 50th Anniversary card, an achievement that even some of the biggest league supporters didn’t think was likely to occur. The league has battled through adversity and now has reached a milestone.
Now tonight is also a special night for Cage Of Honor. As HWL turns 50, COH turns 1 as this cycle marks the one year anniversary for Cage Of Honor. You see one year ago I left XCW, a brand that I made #1 with hard work from my lockeroom. Men like Titan, David The Destroyer, Blade, Eddie Powers, Bloodshed Brian, the list goes on but those men tore it up every cycle making XCW the lone reason to be in HWL. Well a little more than a year ago I left XCW to run WCF. At first I was given booking duties but then was given creative control. That was when we dropped WCF and COH was born. Now after a year of blood, sweat, and tears I have decided to induct the first class into the COH Hall Of Fame, as well as give out an achievement award to a wrestler who truly was the franchise player of XCW. Without further adue the first inductee into the COH Hall Of Fame…
(On the monitor the name “Bloodshed Brian” appeared)
MJ: I am proud to announce that the first inductee into the COH Hall Of Fame is Bloodshed Brian. Brian is a 3x Scramble Champion, 2x Fighting Champion, and former Code Of Violence Champion. Brian has also been an HWL League champion and won Iron Federation and the IWA Hardcore Championship out of HWL. Last cycle Brian also won the first Annual COH Best Of The Best Tournament. Ladies and Gentlemen…Bloodshed Brian.
(The crowd as well as the COH lockeroom rose to their feet to applaud Brain. The fans started a “Best Of The Best” chant as Brain received his COH Hall Of Fame Championship Belt.)
BB: Wow I am surprised to be the first inductee into the COH Hall Of Fame. I’ve had my ups and downs in HWL and COH but I know I am one of the greats in this league. I have over 1,000 HWL wins and just have always known this place as my home. You just never know what will happen in your career so with that said before I hang it up I am officially challenging the winner of the COH Heavyweight Championship match at cycle 53’s card. It’s my time now to wear the one title that has eluded me in my COH career. I want to thank everyone and Mike Johnson for my spot, and Taker and Dave, one of you are next…Thank you.
(The crowd stands and cheers as Brian holds the COH HOF title up in the air as he walks off the podium to the back…)
MJ: Before we induct the last member into the COH Hall Of Fame I would like to speak about XCW. Back in 2007 I started what I like to refer to as a Revolution. See I had been a manager in HWL for close to a year and liked things and dislike others. I had a vision so I took a select few and created XCW. I established my own brand, my own titles, and my own show. Together with the dedication of the boys in the back we gave a legit reason to be in HWL. XCW had a sold year run under my watch but after my departure fell apart, but while I was in XCW there where several in the lockeroom who busted their *** but one man did it all and then some. That man is none other than Blade. Blade was a 2x Tag Champion, Continental Champion, 4x Havok Champion, Continental Champion, Tournament of Havok winner, and also won just about every title on the Velocity brand as well. Blade was the first HWL World Champion, and is now a proud member of the COH brand. Tonight we honor him with the title “Mr. XCW.” Ladies and gentlemen…Blade!!
(A video package is shown of Blade as the fans cheer for him but Mike Johnson begins to speak again.)
MJ: Blade is not with us tonight due to the attack he received after last cycles show. I accept this award on his behalf and wish him the best.
MJ: Now before we go off to the 50th Anniversary show I would like to induct the final inductee into the COH Hall of Fame. This wrestler is a multiple time Cage Of Honor Heavyweight Champion, he is last years COH Rookie of the Year and Wrestler of the year. Ladies and gentlemen…David The Destroyer!!
(The fans and the lockeroom jump to their feat as a somewhat surprised David The Destroyer walks up to the podium. The fans start a “Mr. COH” chant for David as he is handed the Cage of Honor Hall Of Fame belt. David holds it up as the fans give out one last roar as he begins to speak.)
DTD: I have to say this is a shock to me right now. I know I’ve had success in XCW in the past and in my year in COH but to be one of the two wrestlers inducted in the HOF is special. This means to me that I have made it. I have earned the respect of the fans and my peers and I will continue to achieve in the years to come. I have respect for COH and for what Mr. Johnson does for COH. He is the man with the vision and the boys in the back follow it. Again I appreciate this award and look to continue adding COH gold to my resume. Thank you again!!!
(The crowd pops huge for David as he walks off the stage to the back holding up the COH Hall Of Fame title belt.)
MJ: Well ladies and gentlemen that concludes the COH Hall Of Fame. Year one is complete and we know begin year two with this cycles card. I appreciate all the support given to me by the managers in the league and all I will say is that COH has a bright future. There are so many stars in COH that they don’t even know it. Tonight at the HWL 50th Anniversary show Cage Of Honor proves yet again that we are the reason to come to HWL. Thank you all and good night…
