COH Hall Of Fame- 2012 "HWL 100th Anniversary"
We are live in the COH Arena as tonight HWL turns 100. On the screen above the podium there is a video package of HWL highlights showing some of the greatest moments in HWL history. The video package ends as David The Destroyer is shown pinning New age Punisher and he is left standing in the middle of the ring as the COH Triple Crown World Champion. After that clip is shown the pyro goes off and we go live to COH General Manager Mike Johnson at the podium.
MJ: Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We are gathered here tonight as the Hardcore Wrestling League celebrates its 100th anniversary and we look to induct our 2nd class into the Cage Of Honor Hall of Fame. COH is a brand that has become very close to me. The concept was based on true strong style wrestling where the wrestlers left it all in the ring. COH was based off the heart that ECW had, the tradition the NWA built, and the desire the UFC fuels. For 67 cycles, COH has been part of HWL and its success. Cage Of Honor has brought honor, tradition and legitimacy back to HWL and it is with great pleasure that we are all here tonight to induct this 2nd class into the COH Hall of Fame. Before we begin I’d like to bring up to the podium COH National Champion Mike Drake to induct a true icon of this game into the COH Hall Of Fame.
(Drake is met with a chorus of boos and cheers)
MD: Even though I’ve been in HWL for a short period of time I know this league has played host to some IWA icons. Tonight it is my pleasure to induct a true legend of the game into the COH Legends Branch of the HOF. He managed Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, The Final Boss, and Emerald Weapon to multiple HWL league titles. He was the first HWL manager to win every single title on the title page over his illustrious career. A 4x HWL world champion, multiple time IWA Hardcore and Iron fed champion from HWL, and multiple time IWA World Champion, ladies and Gentlemen…Bob Dippy!
MD: Mr. Dippy isn’t here tonight as he and a few others are back at the ACE Mansion getting set to start a revolution like this game has never seen. ACE2013!
MJ: Thanks Mike. Now let’s get to the first inductee of the 2nd class of the COH Hall Of Fame. This man is a multiple time HWL league champion. He’s won multiple Iron Feds and multiple Hardcore Championships out of HWL. He has over 1,000 HWL wins, a former COH World Champion, ladies and gentlemen…Titan!
(Titan towers up to the podium and is handed his COH HOF Championship belt and raised it high in the air.)
Titan: Thank you. My HWL career hasn’t always been what I wanted but COH has kept me in the game for close to eight years. I started off in SPL and after 3 cycles made my way to HWL. I won my fair share of titles and main evented some shows but I know my time is almost up. BUT before I go there’s one man I need to face one on one. This man has disrespected my league and is a man I once called a brother. Mike Drake you like to run your mouth, that’s fine. I know you can back it up so here’s your chance to prove it. COH 70, Titan vs. Drake, you beat me and my COH contract is gone. I beat you and you take the XPL off of your name. I’ll be waiting for your answer. Again COH thank you for this honor!
MJ: Ladies and gentlemen Titan! (Johnson and Titan shake hands then Titan walks off the stage) wow Titan vs. Drake, a match I never dreamed of booking but I will say that I’d like to book this match for Final Battle but if it needs to be COH #70 then so be it.
The 2nd inductee is the 2nd member of the SYNDICATE to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame. He’s won several titles off the HWL title page, amassed over 850 HWL wins, and is a two time COH National Champion. Ladies and gentlemen…Bobby The Gladiator Franklin!!
(Bobby Franklin stands up and shakes hands with David The Destroyer, then walks up to the podium where he’s handed his COH Hall Of Fame Championship Belt. Bobby looks down at the belt as he steps up to the podium.)
BF: Thank you Mr. Johnson. This is a great honor to be inducted into this HOF. Great men such as Bloodshed Brian, Titan, David The Destroyer, and now me are members of this elite group. Since I mentioned David, I’d like to take this opportunity to let David as well as everyone else in the World Championship rankings know that as of now I will no longer be looking to challenge for the National Championship. I’m now focused on becoming a World Champion and will do that sooner than later. I look forward to showing you all what The Gladiator is all about. Thank you again COH and Mr. Johnson for this honor.
(Johnson and Franklin shake hands as Franklin walks off the stage.)
MJ: What an amazing night. Well COH we have one more inductee and this is the first team to be inducted into the COH Hall Of Fame. This team has won multiple league tag, tv tag, league 6-man, tv 6-man, as well as won just about every singles title from the title page. They’ve both amassed over 1,000 career HWL wins and are former COH World Tag Team Champions, as well as former Scramble, Fighting, and National Champions. Ladies and gentlemen…Candyman Brett Lightening and Pretty Boy Billy Thunder, Thunder & Lightening!!
Brett and Billy both walk up to the podium and are each handed their own COH Hall Of Fame Championship belts that they hold up then toss over their shoulders.
BT: Thank you COH! You know there are a lot of managers who say we don’t care because we’re quiet and don’t say much. We’ll even though we don’t say it, we enjoy tossing the COH lockeroom a beating every cycle. Thunder & Lightening was the most dominant team in COH and the only thing that stopped us was ourselves. Now we enjoy beating you all one on one. But that’s not to say we don’t have one more run in us. If we want the tag titles, you’ll know!
BL: Damn right! Singles or tag, if you have gold we’ll take what we want! We’d like to thank COH and Mike Johnson for the opportunity. Without his vision there would be no COH! Thanks again to everyone whose a** we kicked to get to where we’re at!
(Johnson shakes hands with Billy and Brett and then steps back up to the podium
MJ: well ladies and gentlemen its been one hell of a night! Three new inductees into the Hall Of Fame and more to come. I’d like to announce every 15 cycles we’ll induct a new class into the HOF. I’d like to thank the Cage Of Honor managers who deal with my ups and downs. I’d like to especially thank the few who get my unique emails with my oddball ideas. Thanks for putting up with my crap! Other than that let’s just support COH and HWL and make it another 100 cycles! Good luck to all on the HWL 100th anniversary card. Thank you and good night!!
More pyro goes off over the stage. Near the top there is a big display going off that shows “HWL 100 and COH” as the camera fades out to the sound of the explosions and the fans chanting COH! COH! COH!!
